    Meet Nathan Davis

In the words of George St. Geegland, "Welcome to hell idiot". This is Nathan Davis. Today is his first day as a Harebrained artist. He's an incredible illustrator and we're lucky to have him. He has several interests, all of which include Transformers in some way. Just look at his shirt! He will be helping us pump out more shirt, underwear and other fun designs! Welcome Nathan!

This might be one of my favorite mash-ups Harebrained has ever done. Child's Play and Toy Story, while stylistically very different, both focus on anthropomorphic toys owned by an Andy. And face it- Chucky wouldn't be at all out of place in neighbor Sid's hellish bedroom of misfit toys. In Child's Play, of course, Andy's little doll is out to murder him (and comically fails at every turn), while in Toy Story, Andy's toys are loyal servants of his. Who knows, maybe this could create a new film genre! Slasher-meets-Pixar? Horror-meets-Disney? I don't care what it's called as long as Randy Newman does the soundtrack.

Mega Man & Wolverine Shirts! SNIKT!

Now that I'm a 34 year old, I can look back at my early gaming years with a certain fondness. Sure, I was awkward looking, didn't talk much and shook with excitement when it was my turn to play– but I still consider those days rather formidable to making me the person that I am today. None more so than Mario Bros 3 for the NES. That game had insane 8-bit graphics, secrets within the game, and was a huge leap in gameplay from Mario 2. I mean, Mario could fly if he had a raccoon tail and ears! It made no sense, and as a kid I loved it. Fuck, I still love it. So needless to say, the Mario Bros 3 cover was also my favorite. It was so simple, yet instantly iconic.

So it shouldn't shock anyone that if I'm going to make a t-shirt design, that it'll pay homage to that classic video game cover! So here's two brand new designs! Super Weapon X and Super Rock Man! Both are dedicated to two other dear characters in my childhood: Wolverine and Mega Man. (Full Disclosure: I hired Obvian: The Art of Nathan Davis) to design Super Weapon X) Both are up on Harebrained's Teepublic store! Is there a shirt that you'd like to see Harebrained design? Send us an email or let us know in the comments!

    Happy National Hot Dog Day

Like I need a reason to shove a wiener in my mouth! Some people live by that trite saying "Dance like nobody is watching". I live my life like every day is National Hot Dog Day! And it shows. My beer belly is more like a beef belly.

Back to the main reason why I started this blog post: LOOK AT THIS HOT DOG LOGO that I designed over 5 years ago! The coals of this company fizzled out before they could ever get hot, but that doesn't mean I love this mascot any less. I mean, look at his mustard mustache and bow tie! His top hat and fancy shoes! If I didn't know any better, this guy is less of a hot dog and more of a SPOILED BRAT!

Bun puns aside, Harebrained is now available for hire! We want to design your logo, beer label, and band shirt! Rates are negotiable. Send us an email here!
